Someday, but not today. It would be so easy, to use a manager program, write one post and see it everywhere. Someday, but not today!
So what is new… Um Everything!
We now have 5 seniors centres we attend, we welcome more!
We moved barns, no good gossip or drama, although I am finding pleasure horse people seem to always have drama when they change boarding barns. Last year my husband and I bought a house on Lake Scugog, we have always wanted a house on a lake, we like to think we’re outdoorsy 🙂 We made the decision to move the horses closer. I honestly think people are disappointed when I explain it.
So we are at Valentia Retraining Centre, I can ride my bike to the barn! Red, Max and Mia are with other minis. Come see us Good Friday, the farm welcomes the public on that day, it helps raise funds for the horses they rescue.
The kids share a stall at night, during the day they run and roll in mud – mostly roll in mud. Last night I remarked to Trent, Max was looking like a Holstein. (This pic is a week old, he’s a lovely grey and black at this point).
Red and I are getting good at working together, she gets on the trailer, I drive us, she makes people happy, we stop somewhere for lunch before moving onto the next location. Looking forward to the summer when I can have a youth helper with me, then we’ll take 2 horses.
Mia! Mia did a public event!
We took her to the Spring Market. I intended to take Max, but mud and we had just moved them, Max is a very sensitive horse, I didn’t want to stress him, so Mia got on the trailer!
Now Red did the “work”, falling asleep in the kissing booth, doing unicorn selfies. Mia walked around, she met some people, gave Trent something to do besides fiddle with his truck. He walked her.
(Wakey, Wakey Red!)
Red and I, not sure why I didn’t get a kiss.
Thank you to Valentia for lending us the kissing booth – we are making our own soon.
So, we will see you at Easter on the Farm, The Kawartha Pride Picnic, Swing into Spring in Oshawa, The Uxbridge Walk to Defeat Mental Health, Fairview Lodge’s Community Fun Fair… more to come! It is going to be a busy summer!
